Volkswagen logs Q3 operating loss of €5.86 billion on Porsche writedown

The Volkswagen Group has filed its worst quarterly performance since the height of the “Dieselgate” scandal in 2015. Share prices climbed in response, however, perhaps because the bad news was so well signposted.
